.Beautifully designed and hand made originally by Tibetan Nuns who had been exiled to India after expressing opposition towards the Chinese government. The Nuns were taught this Japanese technique of micro-macrame threading. In 2009 when the nuns were exiled to Belgium, Katia began a partnership with these women, inspired by their plight and stories, the nuns were part of the group of "The 14 Singing Nuns from the Drapchi prison. These gems are still handmade by some of the nuns but mostly by a small cooperative of Tibetan women in Dharamsala and a family of craftsmen from Cash-mire.  An everyday necklace to warm your soul.
