Sharing by Katia
Sharing was born from a personal journey one fraught with experiences and encounters, an adventure so precious it needed to be shared....what started as an infatuation over one necklace Katia Samson began her journey. Her devotion to finding the creators of this piece led her to meet 3 tibetan nuns, exiled to India after years of being imprisoned in Lhasa for in engaging in peaceful protests against the Chinese occupation. While in exile the nuns learned how to make delicate jewelry using and intricate and time consuming technique of micro macrame. The nuns have since found refuge in Belgium and while they are still part of the Sharing family the artisans are still based in India in Kashmir and Rajasthan. Each piece is one of a kind and composed of delicate knots, semi precious beads and a main faceted gemstone imbued with many properties. Each piece tells a story, each piece has a certain romance and soulfulness - and each one tells a specific story.
